Visforms and Visforms Subscription 5.0.0 what's new
The central content of the release is:
- Full, native Joomla 5 compatibility without Joomla plugin 'Behaviour - backwards compatibility'
- Refactoring of the event system
- As much preparation as possible for compatibility with Joomla 6
- Code cleanup and removal of deprecated and no longer supported features
In addition, the release contains a small number of new features, from feature requests in our forum.
- Additional values (5, 7 - 11) of the field option 'Control Group Width' in the multi-column Bootstrap 5 layout
- Replace placeholder for checkbox with the checkbox label
- Additional option in the configuration of menu entries for the data view in the frontend: Maximum text length for values from text areas
- Further expansion of the Inspector
The following deprecated features are no longer supported:
We have removed support for UI frameworks that have reached end-of-service for years.
Bootstrap 2, 3, 4 and UIkit 2 will no longer be available.
Visforms automatically corrects the corresponding layout setting in the form configuration.
Instead of Bootstrap 2, 3 or 4, Bootstrap 5 is automatically used.
Instead of UIkit 2, UIkit 3 is automatically used.
The following feature removed from Joomla Core is no longer supported:
The Google Recaptcha plugin is no longer included in Joomla Core.
That's why Visforms no longer supports Google Recaptcha as of 5.0.0.
Visforms automatically corrects the corresponding setting in the form configuration.
Forms in which recaptcha was activated in older Visforms versions are now automatically displayed without captcha.
