Visforms 5.5.0 Release

Joomla 6 is scheduled for October 2025.

Revising the Visforms code for Joomla 6 compatibility is once again a focus of this release. Furthermore, the code has been revised for PHP 8.4 compatibility.

The release also includes some interesting new features from the feature wish list.

  • Email Logging: New form option for each email type to separately enable explicit email logging.
  • Inspector: All essential Visforms log files integrated for direct viewing in the inspector.
  • New DIE (delete if empty) placeholder to automatically remove empty HTML elements without text content from PDF documents, email texts, and the result text based on user input.
    • Limit Maximum Submissions Plugin: Limit the maximum number of submissions based on field values ​​and selection options. Providing a dedicated Visforms CSS class to hide fields. Signature Field: Add support for the SignaturePad API.
  • Form Configuration: Specify the color of the badges in the progress bar of multi-page forms via the configuration.
  • Calculation: Support for Minimum Value, Maximum Value, Equal Value, Unique Value, and Custom Validation.

We use canary releases for Visforms updates. This makes the latest version available to an increasingly large group of users in stages. It is therefore quite possible that a current release is not yet available for your Joomla update manager.

However, all current updates are still available for download on our website. This allows you to manually update to the latest version at any time, even if it is not officially your turn yet.
