Today we have release search plugin for Visforms. This Plugin hooks into the Joomla! search component and enables users of your website to search Visforms data, using the Joomla! search module or component. Read the description to learn more about this plugin.
There comes a great new feature (back) with this Visforms release. You will now be able to user Layout overrides to customize forms and field display in frontend. If you want to learn more, please check the Documentation.
This release brings you one great new feature for Visforms - a multi column layout. In addition we did some code refactoring so that it is now possible to use forms without template and/or in modal windows.
Today version 1.3.13 of our Joomla! spambot check plugin was released. In order to improve the quality of our software, we have been developing automated test software. The plugin code was the first code to be tested with this software and we have found some minor bugs in the plugin code which we have fixed in version 1.3.13.
In addition to the solid range of functions that our free Joomla! extension Visforms provides, we have developed a series of plugins to supplement Visforms. With a minimum of effort these plugins help you to fit your forms perfectly into the functionality of your website and they allow you to find new business segments on your website where you can apply Visforms.
Visforms has become more feature rich once again. This release comes with a bundle of new options for the frontend data view settings.
Today we have released Visforms 3.3.0. This release comes with two new features. First, the configuration of the spambotcheck plugin options has been moved into the form configuration, which will enable you to set the spam protection parameters individually for each form.
Second, the editor, which can be displayed by fields of type "textarea" displayes now a control, that enables the user to add symbols and special characters in the editor with mouse clicks.
This morning we received a message, that there is the potential possibility to see stored user inputs, submitted with Visforms, in frontend, even if you do not want to publish them, if you have choosen the wrong configuration settings for your forms and fields . As a result, we have already released a new version of Visforms. Default settings are now set up in a way that no unauthoriesed display of data will be possible. The settings will effect each form and field which you create after the update.
Please make also sure, that you have set up the forms you, which have already created with previous versions of Visforms, in a way that prevents unauthorised display of data, if you do not want to display user inputs by using the frontend data view:
As a consequence of the changed default settings it is now neccessary to actively change forms and fields configurations, if you want to publish user inputs in frontend. Please read Save results and use stored data in the documentation.
The update is available through Joomla! auto upater and in the download section of our website.
As the support for Joomla! 2.5 will stop on December, 31. 2014, we will release no further updates for Visforms for Joomla! 2.5 as well.
