Hi,

After submitting the form, I get Error 0 with text: Invalid controller: name='visforms', format=''
Somebody please with an idea where to look?
This is my form link

Desperate looking for a clue
I installed Visforms in Mai and made an – unpublished – form, which worked fine when tested. This weekend I updated Joomla and published the form. It won’t submit…

Thanks in advance

Hi,

this is difficult to debug and I fear you have to try to reduce the problem step by step.
Please disable the captcha as a first step of reduction and test again.

Aicha

Thank you very much for replying.

Disabling the Captcha didn't help. Also made a new testform on another page, but the same issue appears.
This is what I get: www.dropbox.com/s/l9tynhsxgsdotwq/error0.jpg?dl=0

A question: Shall I uninstall Visforms and install again. If I do, will I loose my form?

Hi,

you will loose your forms completely, when you uninstall Visforms. But you can install Visforms 3.7.8 once again.
Is there any cache enabled on the website?
If yes please enable it and clear it.
Please try to display the form via a menu item not via a module and the loadposition inside an article (without captcha)
Do you have any redirect component on your websites?
Do you have any redirects set in your .htaccess or in your webspace configuration?
Please enable the Debug System option in the system configuration and set the Error Reporting to Development. Do you get any useful information then?

Regards,
Aicha

Hi Aicha,

Difficult questions (I am not a technician...) but I will try:
I do have a cache, but do know I have to empty it after any change. I disabled it now.
Via a menu item it works fine! Even with the Captcha.
No redirection components nor in the htaccess any custom redirects.
Debugging and error reporting gives this above my homepage. Doesn't look nice...

Hi,

I know, it is demanding to figure these things, if you are "just" a good administrator.
Ok, doesn't look nice and as the warning states, there is a problem in the router.php of the com_content component, which displays the article with the form. This could or could not be related to your problem. I'm not sure of that.

As I have not heard of this problem before and many people use Visforms in the way you do (include a the module inside an article) I think this is some sort of misconfiguration specific to your website. Maybe another content plugin or a system plugin, that is not compatible with the construction of including Visforms inside an article.

So you could disable non Joomla! core content and system plugins (if you have such and can figure which they are).

You could try to use the Joomla! default template (Protostar). This could help to find out, if the problem is cause by the template.

Finally, Visforms allows you to add custom Text at the top of the form. So if everything else fails, you could use the Menü Item...

Regards,
Aicha
