Submit button not working in html was created by markdebokx
Hi,
I'm using Joomla 4 in corporation with Nicepage. IF I connect a form through the standard Joomla Menu options (as in From, choose Form) all forms work as best they can, no problems.
However, when I use a html code in a standard page, I find myself a not working Submit Button.
The Java console doesn't give errors.
Any suggestions ??

Hello markdebokx,

If there is no JavaScript error on the page with Visforms and the Submit button remains inactive, it could also have the following cause.
The Visforms JavaScript code does not find what it is looking for.
As a result, the button cannot be activated after the page structure has been completed.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'use a html code in a standard page'.
Nevertheless, I strongly suspect that it is due to an incorrect HTML structure, however generated.
In order for the button to be found at all, it must have certain properties.

Your 'use a html code in a standard page' may not load any Visforms JavaScript code at all.
Then many other things in the form would not work either.
Maybe you didn't even notice that with the obviously grayed out button.

If you get stuck, I ask you to answer all three of the following questions:

Could you explain 'use a html code in a standard page' a little more specifically what you mean by that?
Is the Visforms JavaScript code loaded?
Do you have a link to the trouble spot for us?

Best Regards, Ingmar

Thanks! Your reply helped me in finding a solution.
The final answer was somewhat unexpected. Examining my site I found several other issues. For instance: pop-ups not working properly. De reason for this problem, and also the solution, is the use of optimizing software recommended by Joomla and google. This goes beyond gzip and standard caching. The moment I switched off the module, the problem disappeared. Switching on any optimizing on javascript, html or css, the problem re-occurs.

Its the never ending Quest of SEO and functionality on the website.

Thank you again
Regards

Hello Mark,

I am happy that Visforms is now working properly for you again!

This is an interesting point and a simple solution.
Even if it has to take into account the fact that at this point the requirements bite.

Visforms relies on full JavaScript libraries and non-caching.
With these 'Easy JavaScript' or 'Fast and Easy JavaScript' minimal replacements and overly heavy caching that doesn't make exceptions, a large form component can't work.
This is only possible if it can be configured very specifically and if it is then carried out more or less laboriously.

I would be interested to know which optimization modules or optimization software were suggested to you, i.e. which you ended up using.
Could you please tell me the names briefly?

Thanks and kind regards, Ingmar
