Generic eMail Blacklist Not Stopping Registration

I have entered the below generic list eMail Blacklist through the User-SpambotCheck plugin:

@mail.ru,@yandex.ru,@xy.com,@bk.ru,@gmail.com,@yahoo.com,@hotmail.com

However this is not working as visitors are still able to register with these email addresses?

For example I just had a visitor register with omaradili94@gmail.com and another visitor with this email address aona05@yandex.ru

Please help fix this.
Sorry I posted in wrong catagory

Hi,

no problem with the wrong category, I can move the post to the plugins category later on.

I think you have some sort of "misconfiguration" or competing settings in your plugin and component setup, so that some users which have blacklisted email domains are "whitelisted" by some other settings.

So please set the plugin parameter "Log Blacklist to DB" to yes. This will log blacklisted users to the database if they try to register or login and you can verify if the blacklist feature is working at all. You can view the log via Components->Spambotcheck (Logs Tab) and some time after having turned on that feature you should find some data sets where the "Engine" is "Blacklist".

Possible sources of misconfiguration can be:
The IP or email or generic email of the user who was able to log in is on the whitelist.
You enabled spambotchek only for registration
You didn't enable the plugin parameter "Check Email"
The user is set to trusted in components -> spambotchek (Users Tab).

Please let me know what results you get from those tests.

Kind regards,
Aicha

Thank you for your help...

I have turned on the Log Blacklist to DB, this was not on before.

Events to monitor is set to Registration + Login
Notify about Spam attempts ON for Registration + Login
The only eMail address that is whitelisted is mine as admin.
The only IP that is whitelisted is mine as admin.
Check IP and Check e-Mail is set to YES

In the Component The only eMails which are set to Trusted are the employees of the company. All others are set to Distrust.

So the only change I've now made is to Log Spambot to DB

I'll get back to you when I start to collect the data in the DB.

Thank you.

So I have the "Log to DB" turned on and its still not working.
Set to monitor Registration only.

I have had 15 registrations since then and all but 1 is spam.

There are 3 of these email addresses (@gmail.com) that are now listed in the "Logs"

Why are some email adresses showing up in the Logs and others are not(@yasndex.ru)?

But nothing is stopping these email addresses from Registering with the website?
