Greetings,

I would like to thank the developers of the SpambotCheck plugin for Joomla and, by way of donating something to this worthy cause, I have built a small module that people can display on their website to demonstrate the effectiveness of this tool.

The attached file is the installation package for J! 2.5 sites. A demonstration of the output appears on the right-side of the pages at www.kunena.org/forum

I do not intend to maintain this module but I'm donating it, free of charge, for those who may find it useful. The module assumes that blocked logins and registrations are logged by the SpambotCheck plugin to the database table #__spambot_attempts.

Thanks again for a great product that has successfully reduced the incidence of spambot registrations at our website.

That looks a really useful module - a good way to reassure users that the site is serious about controlling (i.e. eliminating) spam.

I'm happy for people to maintain or extend the functionality of the module I wrote.

I would like to see more tools that extend the usefulness of the _spambot_attempts data as well. I have another idea for another module that can deliver useful information. I hope to be able to share this idea soon but, owing to my absence - I will be going out of town for a couple of weeks - this may not be possible for three weeks or more.
