attachment on dataview

Hi

I bought a subscription pachage and I have created a a form with an attachment field, all the data colected with the form are presented in one dataview result page on frontend page.

All fields show correctly but the attachement field only show the name of the attachment without the link to the attachment, so is not possible to download or see the attachment in frontend.

I have searched in the documentation and there only info about attachment in mail e not attachment on frontend dataview. Can you please help me fix this.

Hi,

I assume you are using a field of type "File Upload" for the attachment.
In the field configuration there is an option "Show a link in frontend".
I think this is what your are looking for.
It is on the tab "Basic Options" on the right side.

Yes, that was the issue, it shows the link now, just small question, is not possible to show the name of the file or just a text like " attachment" with the link behind it without showing all URL link path? (it brakes my layout) but this is a small issue.

Hi,

this is only possible by creating a template override for the data view file. This requires some knowledge of php and may require adaptations of your override if I have to make changes to the original view files (for example when I develop new feature).
