How to hide a field in a form

Hi,

I've defined a field in a form but i would like that this field do not appear in the form.
The reason is that the content of this field will be entered later on in the display data.
To resume, just looking for a way to hide an existing field in a form

Hi,

I think what you are looking for is the field type "hidden" (choose from the "fieldtype" listbox in field configuration).
Fields of type hidden are not visible in the form.
