Problem With Mail Address Field Characters

Hi…. first time post.

An enquiry form at www.fr8.vu/enquiry was working correctly but has started showing the following error:

“Some inputs are not valid
The field "My Email:" can have no more than 0 characters”

I have been through all the Visforms configuration settings and cannot find anything related to setting min/max field lengths. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Your urgent help would be appreciated. Customer is getting twitchy.

The site is running Joomla 3.4.8 with Visforms 3.5.8

Hi,

the html for the email fields is messed up. This does not just happen, without any changes to the website but it must not necessarily be a change in Visforms. Visforms is used by thousands of people and almost any one of them uses an email fields without problems, so I think this is an individual problem of your Joomla! website and configuration.
Visforms 3.5.8 is actually quite an outdated Version (as well as Joomla! 3.4)
(Latest stable Visforms Version is 3.7.7).

Problems like this can be cause be old overrides in your template (after a Visforms Update), by some javascript that is added by another extension than Visforms (for example the template or a module) but interacts with the html-tags or classes of Visforms. There are many other reasons as well.

The easiest way to find out, what causes the broken html would be, if I could debug a copy of the actual installation on a local test system, but this is individual debugging, which I cannot do for free. I offer a support ticket for such occasions.

have you checked, that there are no blanks in the field configuration of the e-mail field in the settings for min-length and max-length?
