Form submit failed The field "Email" must be a valid e-mail address

I set up visforms subscription form template but when I want to test the form in front end it keeps on giving me an errorForm submit failedThe field "Email" must be a valid e-mail address

when I type 'user@server.de' in field 'Email' on your form 'Petsitting request', and press the submit button, there is no validation message for the email field.
Of course, almost all other fields have a validation message due to the fact, that they are required fields and were left blank.
This is the expected behavior and all seems fine to me.

Before you hit the submit button the first time, you see no validation messages at all.
After you hit the submit button the first time and the validation finds errors, the validation messages appear in real time (while you are typing).
But still, after I finished typing the starting part of the address 'user@s' in field 'Email', no validation message is visible for this field any longer.
This is the expected behavior and all seems fine to me.

Which email address are you trying to enter?

A complete first validation is performed on the client-side, immediately after you hit the submit button (no form data is send to the server before the validation).
The validation is performed a second time, this time on the server-side, after the form is valid on the client-side and actually sent to the backend (to be secure).
