Data export - date field integer instead of date type

An export of data to CVS to excel changed the date field values from 01122025 to 1122025. Leading zero was removed from the CVS to Excel import.
But I can see it is read as {"Dato", Int64.Type}, and using the transform of the Datatype from Integer to Date solves the issue. {"Dato", type date},

Question is if the type is wrong in the data export from Visform or did I miss a setting of the field?

Dear Ole,

csv files do not contain any information about the data type.
They are simply text files in a specified format.

It is Excels import routine, that interprets the values and determins which Datatype is used for which column.

In Visforms fields of type date support three different date formats.

DD.MM.YYYY
MM/DD/YYYY
YYYY-MM-DD

Values for a date field are exported with exactly this format into CSV.
So in the csv file it would either be 01.12.2025, 12/01/2025 or 2025-12-01.
Excel determins for all three formats correctly, that the Datatype is a date.

So I really wonder, why your field values are without ./-
But if a date value is not formatted with ./-, then the value acually just is an integer with a leading zero.
And Excel will allways determine, that the Datatype is int64.

Which date format did you select for the field in question?
I need to know, so, that I can check into the export of exactly that format.

Actually I can see in the CSV file that the values are correct 01.12.2025 as they are in the database and frontend.
No need to check further. It must an Excel data import issue I guess and can be solved by adding that extra transform step for type.
