Joomla 6 Notice

We are pleased to announce that all our Joomla extensions have been compatible with Joomla 6 since October 14th, 2025.

Hi, I've been using spambotcheck to reduce spam registrations on my site. It has made a big difference, but I wanted to check that I am using the blacklist function correctly. I have the following listed in my blacklist:

However, I still get registrations from yandex.com - so do I have the settings correct to block this email address?

Hi,

no this is not quite correct.

Correct would be
@mail.ru,@yandex.ru,@yandex.com,@download-dvd.pl

so no * and a comma separating the items.

Does SpambotCheck handle partial domains in the blacklist?

e.g. ".ru,.po"
