modify bootstrapform.css was created by Jenn
I would like to modify the Submit Button color to ensure it matches the CSS of my template. I have tried to change the bootstrapform.css file directly and changes are not working. I have tried entering background-color: #mycolor into the CSS Class For Field under the Field Advanced Tab, Layout, also to no avail. There is a "Load Bootstrap Form CSS" option on the Layout section of the Advanced tab of the Form Edit, which suggests either my Template.Less file or Bootstrapform.css is driving the display, but neither choice, Yes or No, works. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

which CSS rule from which file is actually responsible for the layout of your button, depends on which selector with which rule is the strongest over all css files which are loaded on your website individually.

So you have to figure, which selector is actually used (in which file) and then you know, which selector you ca use for your override and you can make the selector in your override strong enough, for example by adding a custom css class to your field and add this to the selector.

I have tried to give an instruction on how you can gather that information in the Visforms documentation.

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).
