Hi Eddie,

I am very sorry but I do not quite understand your question.

Try to describe the actual use case at least a little bit.
Or use your mother tongue in combination with Google Translate (works fine).

There is optional 'Post' and 'Get' data involved with a HTTP request.
I am not sure, if this answers your question, but it is possible to use Url parameter ('Get' data of the request) to set default values in Forms.
A description goes here:
www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/vi...lue-using-url-params

Sorry, Ingmar

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).

Hi, Ingmar,

Sorry for not explaining the use case. We would like to send form data from a Visform to another website for processing. The receiving website expects the form data in POST format. Can a Visform be set up to send data using POST to an external URL?

Regards,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

there is no general simple configuration setting available to achieve this.
But with few PHP code lines in a so called 'Custom Visforms Plugin', this (simply get all form parameters and send them via POST request to the desired end-point) and almost everything else is possible.

Documentation is available here:
www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/vi...ustom-submit-handler
(create your own plugin, use it to implement and add a custom submit handler)

www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/vi...loper-feature-events
(list of all Visforms events for plugin development)

If you get stuck in solving the problem yourself, we are happy to provide you with practical support and implementation.
I hope you do understand that we can only offer this individual service, also due to the high number of inquiries, based on our current hourly rate.

Best regards, Ingmar

Hi, Ingmar,

Thanks for the reply. If I am unable to create the plugin, can we hire you to do it, and if so, what are your hourly charges?

Just a little more information: This would be a form that allows people to select items to add to a shopping cart, and then submit the data to an external e-commerce site.

Regards,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

yes you may of course hire us based on our current hourly rate of 65 euros plus VAT.
The described basic functionally is quite easy and strait-forward to implement.
All the security issues, including secure authentication and authorization against the end-point REST-API, might be of significant additional concerns.

Best regards, Ingmar
