Joomla 5 Notice

We are pleased to announce that as of January 29, 2024, all of our Joomla extensions are compatible with Joomla 5.

Hello,

Currently the date field gives me three formats on how the date has to be entered, but the one I want is not available (DD-MM-YYYY). Is there a way to add this option?

Hello Jeroen,

Adding a new date format in Visforms is unfortunately not a trivial matter at the moment.
Validation, calculations with date fields, and the search functions still need to be expanded accordingly.

We think your point is important, though.
There are also other culture-specific date formats.

I have therefore created a development issue for this in the wish list:
Issue [VF-1397] Forum: Date Field: Add new date formats like 'DD-MM-YYYY' and other culture-dependent formats

When we release the new feature, you will be explicitly informed about the release in this topic.

Unfortunately, it will take some time until we can implement and release this feature.
