in view form the order field doesnt work

I'm using Joomla 3.7.2 and VisForm 3.9

I define a field as a numeric but when I order the data by this field the order is incorret

the numbers 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ...... , 10 are ordered as

I checked into this.
Your observation is correct but because of the way Visforms is designed and supposed to work it is not possible to change this savely.

The problem is, that Visforms is not very restrictive about field types. You can always change a field of type "number" into a field of type "text". Further on fields of type number can be left empty. So even if a field is of type number, this does not naturally mean that there is always a numeric value stored for such a field in the database. Therefore it is not possible to order stored inputs numerically, because there are lots of situations where assuming there is always a numeric value for such a field would lead to errors.

Field types actually means a HTML form field type but not a database field type. For people who just want to have forms and who wants to be able to change there forms flexibly this is perfect. As this is an important feature for a flexible form component, which I do not want to change, I cannot modify the code so that values of number fields are ordered numerically.
