recaptcha problem

Hi,
I'm trying to add a captcha to an existing form ( www.drhowellelectric.com/contact ). I've enabled and setup the joomla recaptcha plugin. When I enable recaptcha (or visform captcha), I get an error on the page (Error while rendering position). I've attached a screenshot. I've had to turn the captcha off for now. Wondering if you've seen anything like this before. Thanks.

If you have enabled the invisible recaptcha on your website and you try to use a captcha with the form, this is not working and you will have errors. If have not had any time jet to look into this problem in more detail. Basically it is caused by the fact, that the invisible recaptcha plugin has a very similiar html code as the recaptcha plugin, but works differently.

If you have only enabled the recaptcha plugin and select the recaptcha or the Visforms Captcha in the form, this should actually work fine.

By the way, Visforms already has very good protection against spambots, even without any captcha, because auf the visforms plugin spambotcheck. So usuallly it is not really necessary to enable any captchas for the forms. (See: www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/vi...t-forms-against-spam )

Thanks for the quick reply. I did have the invisible captcha plugin enabled so I disabled. I now only have the recaptcha plugin enabled but I still get the error using either a setting recaptcha or visform. Any other thoughts?

You have created overrides for the mod_visforms layout files in your template.
These overrides are based on an older version of the visforms layout files.
There were important changes to the layout files between visforms 3.11 and 3.12.
So you have to rebuild the overrides based on the current layout files of the mod_visforms.
This will fix the problem.
