Hi..

I have something worrying me since.

1. When Admin login from front end and he go to view all submissions of the data in front end. There is View details ( eye button), there is "Edit" button, there is "Publish or Unpublished button".. then other fields that is allowed to show in front data view.

2. When normal User login and go to view list of submission, there is View details ( eye button), there is "Edit" button, there is "Publish or Unpublished button".. then other fields that is allowed to show in front data view.

MY PROBLEM NOW IS:

Why is the "Publish or Unpublished button" Column showing in the front view of a normal registered user? Why that column cannot be hidden since normal user does not have permission to PUBLISH or UNPUBLISHED submitted data in the list.

I wish i could attache a screenshot for you to see what i mean.

Please how do i hide this column from normal users in the front end/front data view.

Thank you.

Hi,

which overhead columns (detail view = eye icon, edit publish/unpublish button) are showed in the frontend data views depends on settings which you make in the form, in the field and how you publish the form (menu item type or plugin data view).

I have tried to give a comprehensive overview over these complex topic in the documentation: www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/vi...er-inputs-in-frotend
(You'll find links for further reading there, too)

Nevertheless, if a user belongs to a group, which does not have the permission to publish data, then the user will not see a publish/unpublish button. As visForms is used by thousands of users and bugs are usually fixed within days and nobody has ever mentioned such a problem, I'm sure, that you have either not set up the permissions properly for visForms or you log in with a user which does actually belong to another group then you think.

Regards,
Aicha

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).
