Сharacter escaping in text during data export

When export form's data, I use Semicolon as Separator. But, when in data are text with semicolons, these semicolons don't escape. And as result import CSV file to OpenOffice is not correct. Is any way to solve this problem?

Hi,
if the data contains the selected separator, then the whole data string is put inside double quotes.
As far as I know, this is the proper way to escape the separator in a CSV file.
And, as Visforms is used by thousands of people, I'm quite sure, that this works.

Importing the CSV to OpenOffice is a second step, which actually has nothing to do with Visforms in the first place.
I actually think, that the semicolon in the data is not really the problem, but that there is at least one condition, which causes the import of your CSV to fail.

So, please, open the CSV file in a text editor and check, whether the double quotes are in place, around the data in question.
And whether there might be some other problem with the data in question (unescaped double quotes...)..

Regards,
Aicha
