Visforms Version 5.3.1, Subscription
The currently installed Joomla! version is "‎5.2.3" ‎5.2.3PHP Version8.2.27
We have a client that would like to allow multiple files uploaded with the upload button.
Is that possible?
Thanks much.

Hello Mike,

The upload field assumes a maximum of one upload file per upload field in all of the following places
- in the form,
- in the email,
- in the PDF,
- in the data editing views,
- in the Visforms placeholder replacement.

To upload more than one file per form submit, you must provide several upload fields in your form.

As many upload fields as you want a user to be able to upload at once when submitting a form.

Best wishes, Ingmar

Thank you so much for your answer! The client wants to add the option to upload 10 documents. That will mean 10 upload buttons on the form. I see that I can't do a conditional field on an upload button. Do you know of another way to hide any unneeded upload buttons unless needed? Thanks so much.

Hello Mike,

Quote: Visforms Version 5.3.1, Subscription

With this version you can select conditional fields for upload fields.

Here is an example of one of my forms with an 'Upload Field' field.

Form configuration, 'Basic Settings' tab, 'Dynamic Settings' group, 'Conditional Field' parameter:
vi-solutions.de/forum-uploads/upload-fie...al-field-setting.jpg

You need a list box to specify the maximum number of files to be uploaded with options from 1 to 10.
The field name in the example below is 'select-max'.

The upload fields then gradually receive one option less than the previous field for selection in the 'Conditional Field' parameter.
The first option receives all options.

Here is an example for a total of 3 upload fields:

1. 'Upload field' --> 'Conditional Field' = select-max || 1 , select-max || 2 , select-max || 3
2. 'Upload field' --> 'Conditional Field' = select-max || 2 , select-max || 3
3. 'Upload field' --> 'Conditional Field' = select-max || 3

The form: No selection:

The form: 3 files selection:

Best regards, Ingmar
