Form result misaligned was created by snowrat
Hi All
My first post here. I have tried to get the form working but the result page where it says thank you and any other comments it is squashing up my central column and I cannot work out why it is doing this.
Any help appreciated.

Many thanks

On this same page I have had to put the company telephone number and address above the form fields.
Is it possible to display this text beneath the submit button instead?

I have solved the first issue, however the solution is not ideal.
It was missing a closing DIV.
I have added a 2nd closing div to the result/thank you block and everything is lined up correctly now.
Is there a closing div missing from the form code?

Hi snowrat,

thanks for your posts! You are right. There is a missing closing div in the file

components/com_visforms/views/visforms/tmpl/message.php

You can just add a closing div there (at the very end).
I already fixed that in the source code but launching an update requires lot's of testing and I haven't had the time yet to do so. But it will be fixed in the next version of visforms.

Showing some text beneath the submit button is not possible with visforms. You can add custom text to every field (Tab advanced). This text is displayed beneath the field, except for buttons, where it is display above the button (and centered, which you could change using css).

You can even use a field of type "field separator" to add text that is not visually attached to a field, if you set the field separator option "border not visible".

Although none of these "solutions" allow you to put text beneath the buttons I hope you can find a workaround for your form this way.

Kind Regards,
Aicha

Many thanks Aicha.
I have managed to make the page look okay with the details at the top.
I have inserted the closing DIV into the component and it is working now.
Just one thing... when I went to edit the result text, my extra closing div was not there! Not sure why this would automatically delete.

Great form by the way, better than the others I tried.

I will test the contacts next to see how I can work with those.

Hi snowrat,

glad to hear you managed to get it work for you! I think it is the editor, that cleans up the html and deleted the extra closing div. In the backend Visforms just uses the default setting of your editor. I'm not an expert about editors, but I think there are settings, that may result in html clean up.

Kind Regards,
Aicha
