Hi,
I need clarification on using a field type=select which provides a drop-down list of options- eg. "How should we contact you".

In my case I am using 2 or more options, the field box "required" is not checked and none of the list options are set to "default".

When I display the form the drop-down list displays "Choose a value". If I don't choose a value and click Submit, I receive the message
A value, sumbitted for the field "How should we contact you" is invalid.
My question: The field box "required" is not checked but the field is behaving like it is, is this the expected behaviour?

My form is using Bootstrap Horizontal layout and Load Bootstrap form CSS = Yes.

this is a bug.

I just released Visforms 3.2.2 (it's available in the download section), which fixes the bug.

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
