Display Data Problem was created by alpesh
Hi,

I am using Joomla 3.3.6 and visforms 3.3.0. I am able to save records but not able to saved records to show on frontend side. I follow the guidelines given on the www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/vi...rms/314-save-results but there is no "Frontend display" option in the "Advanced" tab, where I can select "List and Details". By default page is showing only IDs on formdata page.

Please Help
Alpesh

Hi,

this option is located in the FIELD configuration.
There is an tab "Advanced", too.

Aicha

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

Hi,

Thanks For your reply.
It works.

I have one more question, i.e., I am not able to add data through Admin side in created VisForm. Any user outside the website can add the data, but by admin I can only edit the saved data. How can I add the data through Admin. Please Suggest.

Hi,

this is a form component and it aim is to create forms.
Forms with which user can get in contact with you through the frontend of your website.
There is no way in adding data in the administration and this will not become a part of Visforms.
This is just not a feature of a form component.

Regards,
Aicha

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I want to know one more thing. Can we give edit and delete functionality on formdata at frontEnd?

Regards,
Alpesh

Hi,

this is a feature, you are not the first person who asks for it.
For me it there is a difference between having the edit function in backend or in frontend because in backend you know that the people who do the changing/deleting are admins and supposed to do such things.
The data submitted with the form are not necessarily linked to a user of the website and therefore link to specific access levels...
When I develop a feature a have to bear in mind, that it works for every Visforms user and not only for one who might for example be very experienced. It has to be save and practical and easy to configure.... for all Visforms user. Do develop this feature in this way is a lot of work. Really a lot.

Therefore I'm really very reluctant to implement that feature in addition to the fact that there are a lot of other things I want to develop (and will develop first), which are more genuine to a form component, and that my time is limited, too.
So maybe it will come, but certainly not soon.

Kind Regards,
Aicha
