Does not block

The plugin found some bad people but did not prevent them registering and buying from us.

We use Hikashop. In addition to marking them suspicious, can the plug block the user from registering?

Hi,

distiguishing spammers from regular users is a difficult process and requires a responsible approach.
It is never possible to find and block out any spammers and never hit a real customer.
Because we do not want to block good customers, we have a two step apporach.

First, if a user is listed in one of the online spambot databases (and only then) they will be block.

Second, the plugin does some individual checks, to validate, whether a user shows a behavioral pattern, which could indicate, that this user is a spammer.
This is for example multiple registrations from one IP address or e-mail addresses with many dot.
These checks are only for additional information.
To decide that a user with such a behavioral pattern is actually a spammer would go much to far.
It would probably block lots of users who are good customer.

Therefore this is only for informational reasons and human interactions by an administrator is necessary in order to interpret all information and decide, whether the user actually is a spammer or not. You have to block them, manually then (set to unpublished).
