Wir konnten den Fehler damit reproduzieren.
Der Fehler tritt nur manchmal auf und nicht auf jedem System.

Nach längerem Testen und mehreren Versuchen haben nun eine Lösung gefunden.
Es handelt sich um ein Timing-Problem.
Ich hatte dazu einen Issue zur Entwicklung für die Bug-Liste angelegt:
Issue [VF-706] Forum: Textarea: Frontend: Edit view does not show field content

Der Issue ist jetzt mit einem Bug.-Fix abgeschlossen und bereit für das nächste Visforms Release.
Wenn wir den Bug-Fix releasen, werdet ihr explizit über das Release hier im Thema informiert.

Könntet ihr nach dem Release bitte schauen, ob es dann auch auf der mobilen Plattform einwandfrei funktioniert?
Das wäre wirklich ganz toll.

Many thanks for the Akeeba backup to gioorl.
We were able to reproduce the bug with it.
The error only occurs sometimes and not on every system.

After a long test and several attempts, we have now found a solution.
It's a timing issue.
I had created a development issue for the bug list:
Issue [VF-706] Forum: Textarea: Frontend: Edit view does not show field content

The issue is now closed with a bug fix and ready for the next Visforms release.
When we release the bug fix, you will be explicitly informed about the release here in the topic.

After the release, could you please check if it also works properly on the mobile platform?
That would be really great.

There is a bug fix to solve the error.

Download the following file:
vi-solutions.de/forum-bugfixes/visforms_v4.2.1.js

Rename the downloaded file (remove version) and use it to overwrite the following file on the server:
media/com_visforms/js/visforms.js

It works like a charm.

I tested it both from my desktop and mobile but never failed.
Don't see any issue with remaining functionalities so it seems like you've found the right fix.

Visforms 4.2.2
Visforms Subscription 4.2.2
