Unable to install on Joomla 4

Hello,

I have recently updated from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4. Before updating, I disabled everything of Visforms. 

Now that it is Joomla 4, I try to update to the newest version as per your instructions. Visforms does not appear among the updates found by Joomla. So I downloaded the latest version for J4 instead and tried to install it manually by uploading it in the installer. However, then I get the following error:

JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL Unknown column 'autopublish' in 'jos_visforms'
Extension installation stopped.
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_visforms_j4.0.0_4.4.3.zip

Can you please let me know what I should do?

I'm sorry for your trouble.

You can find the update installation for Joomla 3 with Visforms to Joomla 4 with Visforms here:

It is not necessary to disable anything of Visforms before the Joomla update.
But it is necessary (quote): 'Before the Joomla update, you must have installed at least the Visforms Base Package Version 3.0.0 and the Visforms Subscription Version 3.5.5'.

Did you make sure, that the proper Visforms and Visforms Subscription version was installed before the Joomla update?
If not, you have to go back und make sure the proper Visforms and Visforms Subscription versions are installed before the update.

Did you enable all of Visforms after the Joomla Update?
If not, please enable all of Visforms which you have disabled before the Joomla upade and try again to update Visforms manually.

Hello,

I had updated to the latest version for Joomla 3, disabled everything and updated to Joomla 4.

In the meantime, I discovered why it wasn't working: I had to Update Structure for Database in Joomla's maintenance.

Now I have updated VisForms to the latest version, as well as the subscription package, and so far everything looks ok.
