This is legacy documentation for old versions of the plugin as shipped with Visforms Subscription prior to version 3.2.2. In newer versions, individual success pages are configured directly in form fields with option lists.
In Visforms you can define one redirect url for a success page, to which the user is redirected after they have submitted the form successfully. The Visforms Plugin Custom Redirects allows you to define custom redirect urls depending on a selection which the user has made in the form. This is for example an interesting feature if you run analytic tools on your website in order to learn more about your users.
What is a plugin and how does it work?
Joomla! supports the use of so called plugins. Plugins are small applications, which can hook into the Code at various places and perform specific tasks. For example email cloaking is a typical plugin task as well as switching languages on multi language websites.
How does the Visforms Plugin Custom Redirects work?
Basically you set up a control field in your form. This field offers well defined options for the user to choose between, so it could be a listbox or a radio. Depending on what option the user chooses in the form, they are redirected to different success pages after the form was submitted.. The connetion between options and redirect urls is set form configuration. The plugin makes sure, that the user is redirected to the proper page.
