Blank page when adding new field

Hello,
I just installed visforms 3.8.7. I have Joomla 3.6.
Everything is working until I try to add new field to existing form. When I click 'New' I get empty page with the address "myServerName/administrator/index.php?option=com_visforms&view=visfield&layout=edit&fid=1".

Did I something wrong?

no you did everything correctly.
I have never heard of this problem before.
The address is correct.
Maybe if you take a look at the html page source or take a look at the empty page with the browser console, you can find out more. Or you could enable system debuging in Joomla!....

what is strange the html page source is empty.
If I enable debuging system in Joomla! I still get empty page - also without the debuging console.

We figured out that the php-xml module was missing on the server.
Now everything is working.

There are so many ways in which a server configuration can be "wrong" or missing something and it is always difficult to figure what the problem is.
