Trail, can you please share the solution to the problem? I have exactly the same issue with you. I've tried the configurations suggested by Aicha, but I keep getting the hieroglyphics at the csv opened with Microsoft Excel (and I don't believe it's my Excel's issue - I have tried it on many different devices and versions).
