Dear Vi Solutions.

So my previous problem of finding sql has concluded.

I had to update my joomla and then update to the beta version of vis forms.

Since then i have been taking several steps back just to get the basics right.

Publishing a form then publishing the results.

I have done so several times even uninstalled the pavkage just to make sure i got everything right.

One problem constantly persists. The data and its details just fail to show. I have been tinkering with it for several days. I got so desperate

I uploaded a seperate directory with a fresh joomla on to my site and had no filters upfront and it still has the same bug.

So i made sure the filtering features are all on display. Let me show you:

www.rollerskool.com/wehelpuskate

Here we have skater and a form to add a name to the list. The skaters menu has only a detail link on it.

I know the filter works because when you add a name, the list increases in number.

I am digging vis forms and i am finally understanding the upgrades and how they work together.

It would be nice to see whether this is a fault from my side or a bug in the package.

Any which way I'd like to use visforms. This problem is making it difficult.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

in the form configuration, there is a tab "Dataview in frontend". There you can set, whether some "overhead fields" like, the record set id, the created etc. are displayed in the frontend data view.

Further on you have to allow for each form field individually, whether it is displayed in the frontend data views. In the field configuration there is the tab "Advanced" and there you will find on the right side the option "Display data in frontend" where you have to decide, whether data of this field are displayed in the list view and or in the detail view.

Setting up this properly should fix your problem. This is certainly not a bug in visForms.

Regards,
Aicha

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).

 Ich empfehle Dir die neue und aktuelle Dokumentation für Joomla 4:

Das meiste gilt rückwirkend auch für Joomla 3.
Bitte immer nur 1 Frage pro Thema stellen :-).
