Joomla 6 Notice

We are pleased to announce that all our Joomla extensions have been compatible with Joomla 6 since October 14th, 2025.

Visforms requires "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plugin was created by rusasadmins
I discovered that when trying to use Visforms with Joomla! 5, the "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plugin is required - otherwise, the front end of the website returns the error:

0: Class "JObject" not found

Are there plans to make Visforms work in Joomla! 5 without requiring the "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plugin?

Hello rusasadmins,

Joomla introduced this 'Backwards Compatibility Plugin' to minimize problems with Joomla 5.
We also still use this option for the current Visforms version 4.4.0 under Joomla 5.

The next Visforms version 5.0.0 is in progress and will no longer require this plugin.
Unfortunately, there is no exact release date yet.

We already created a development issue for this issue:
Issue [VF-937] J5: remove the dependency on the Joomla plugin 'Behavior - Backward Compatibility'

When we release the new feature, you will be explicitly informed about the release here in the topic.
