Hello markdebokx,

Thank you for the two screenshots!

It is unusual for the TinyMCE editor to not appear at all without any indication or error message.
Did you perhaps deactivate the TinyMCE editor completely?

Kind regards, Ingmar

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

Hello everyone,

markdebokx has found the cause of the missing fields and editor.

Quote:

Having done some more investigating, I came across a simple fix which is, surprisingly, not connected to the software.
I do have TinyMCE turned on as I checked other forms on another one of my sites but the answer is simple:

Clear all browser cache and that will solve the problem of the missing editor.

Kind Regards, Ingmar

I've switched it off: same results
I've tried another editor (JCE Pro) and still having the same problem.
Interesting information: I can use the editor when working in safari. (Mac), usualy I work in Firefox on Mac.
Also interesting. On another site (created a few months ago, no problems are occuring.

Hello Hello markdebokx,,

I've switched it off: same results:

Just so I understand you correctly, what exactly have you switched off and what is the result?

I've tried another editor (JCE Pro):

When working with email templates and PDF templates, Visforms integrates a separate menu item in TinyMCE for inserting all placeholders.
This is why Visforms only works with TinyMCE and relies on it being activated.
TinyMCE must be the default editor for at least all form editors (administrators).

Ultimately, it could also be a JavaScript problem with a corresponding error.
Do you have a JavaScript error on the page?

If it's important to you, I can also debug this one page:

The question is whether you could provide us with an Akeeba backup of the website for debugging.
We use the following platform for this: wetransfer.com/
Use the forum email address as the recipient: forum (--at--) vi-solutions.de.
Administrative access to the backend is not sufficient in this case.

Kind Regards, Ingmar

Hi!,

I've switched it off: same results: I've switched off all editors, selected them one by one. Tried this and nothing seems to work.

I've tried another editor (JCE Pro): Just to indicate that i've tried more than standard editors. I havent noticed any javascript erros so far. Can you tell me where to look for these errors? Just in case I've checked the wrong log.

Finally: I've made a backup with Akeeba and I'll send it to you.
