Joomla 5 Notice

We are pleased to announce that as of January 29, 2024, all of our Joomla extensions are compatible with Joomla 5.

Hello kmchong,

You are not entering your license, but your personal download ID.
Your personal download ID is part of your purchased software license.
The process is described in the documentation.

Update via the Update Manager:

Hello kmchong,

Thank you for the screenshot of your Visforms dashboard.

Purchasing the Visforms subscription entitles you to download the installation.

You must first download the Visforms subscription and then install it on your Joomla instance.

After installation, Visforms has all Visforms subscription features.
After installation, Visforms has a "Download ID for Updates" button in the "Manage Subscription" section of the "Visforms Dashboard."

The "Download ID" is not a license but only enables automatic updates of Visforms using the Joomla Update Manager.
If the "Download ID" is not entered, an error message will appear when attempting to automatically update Visforms using the Joomla Update Manager.

We see your point as a missing information in the Visforms documentation as well.

We updated the documentation to reflect your point.
I have created an issue to expand the documentation:
[VF-1473] Forum: Docu: Installation Subscription: Add hint: Installation is mandatory and download ID is not the license

The following section has been added to the documentation.
From purchase to a functional and updatable product:

An old page may still be displayed, which is due to the web browser caching pages.
To display the new text and clear the browser cache, use the following key combination:
Ctrl + Shift + R.
