Hi Ingmar - thank you so much for your patience with this.
Not being a programmer, I thought POST meant it was 'posted' in the email and couldn't work out why I was getting something I didn't expect. Now it makes more sense.

Your are correct: I've checked the database and it is being recorded as just "Oils / Acrylic", which I now realise is what is supposed to happen.
I should point out that the Forms software is doing exactly what we need and is working well. It was just that I didn't understand something about it.
Cheers

Grant

Hi Grant,

you are welcome.

I am feeling fine about the fact that we are on the same page now.
The better you understand the better and quicker and spot on you solve future tasks.

Re: POST meant it was 'posted' in the email

Interesting for me too to see where your thinking took quite another direction.
Based on a specific tiny phrasing it suddenly meant a very different area, the area of mailing instead of a web-browser sending form data to the backend server and Joomla.
That is why I think that a defined wording and a clear understanding is crucial ingredient of all constructive attitude.

There are lots of users not being a programmer, which is of course more or less meant to be.
Here in the forum I am always asking myself and often am kind of struggling: Did I really get the question, the users view, and his problem right?
In your case I was wandering about your early focus on the e-mail contents which I now know why.

CU, Ingmar

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 5:
docs.joomla-5.visforms.vi-solutions.de/en/docs/
Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 4.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).
