Yes, but to what end?
The form cannot be submitted then.
:idea: I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 5:

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 4.

Not always the form need to be submitted. Sometimes is useful use the form to show a field at the end as result (thanks to conditional fields). In this way i can do that.
