Have you changed the field type of the field ASSURANCE to select (listbox)?
Regards,
Aicha

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

You have to use the field type SELECT (=LISTBOX)! Not Radio, not Multicheckbox!

Yes :) Thank you it's working now (difficult to transate in french)

I have an other question (if it possible)

So I have field (type select) with 3 options (field ASSURANCE)
- Value 0 (Pas d'assurance)
- Value 1 (Responsabilité civile)
- Value 2 (Tous risques)

And I would like calculate an amount like that
([ASSURANCE]==0) ? 0:(([ASSURANCE]==1) ? 10:20)

It doesnt work :( can you tel me the correct solution ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

any field that is used in a calculation must have a NUMERIC DEFAULT VALUE, when the form is displayed and the user has not yet made any inputs.
So you must make one of the options for the field ASSURANCE the default option, which is preselected, when the form is displayed.
Just check the box "Default" for one of the options which you have created, for example the "Pas d'assurance" option.
I have tested your formula and it is working, if I set up the ASSURANCE field as described above.

If you do not make one of the three options in field ASSURANCE the default option (which is selected by default), the field will start with an empty value and that causes your calculation to "crash".

If you need something like "Choose a value" for the ASSURANCE field, then you have to create a forth option.
Please note, that each option of a listbox must have a unique value, so a forth option must not have a value of 0, 1 or 2!

Please make sure, that the field ASSURANCE is required, too. Check the box "Required" in the field configuration.

Regards,
Aicha
