Validation of Dropdowns (Select Compoent)

Hello,
We have been developing a form with two select components as per my below example. But i wanted to display the items in the second select based on the selected one in the first drop down.


Dropdown One: Apple, Capsicum, Sketch

If i select Apple in the first dropdown, then second drop down should show only Green Apple, Red Apple and Shimla Apple. If i select Capsicum then second drop down should show only Green Capsicum, Yellow Capsicum and etc Under Sketches it may have all kind of color codes. So all the options may not same in the three dropdown.

I hope you understand my requirement.
Could you please help me to fix this issue in the form i have designed. Appreciate your quick reply.

Hi,

it is not possible to disable specific options in a select depending on a selection made in another field. So this is not possible in the way you describe.

You would have to create different conditional select fields for the second choice.
One with the apple selections which is displayed, if in the first select the option "Apple" is selected.
One with the Capsicum selections, which is displayed if in the first select the option "Capsicum" is selected.
One for the Sketch selections.

But as a result, the selected options for apple colors, capsicum colors and sketch colors are saved in different data base fields. I hope that works for you.
