data view -subscription

Hi,
Requirement is
1. User submit form and can edit their own submissions --- i got this done by using 'My submissions'
2. Manager - should be able to view the submitted forms by users and approve/reject , (they shouldn't edit form) -
How this can be achieved ?
3. if the form rejected by manager - the user should be notified and maybe displayed under his login -Form rejected
How this can be achieved ?
4. is there any means i can mass upload multiple users form data , so it can be prefilled ?

what exactly would "approve/reject" be? Could this be Publish/Unpublish the record set?

4. You cannot create data other than by submitting the form.
But you can use data from the Joomla! user as default values in the form.

approve/reject is just basically to denote

say manager reject the form , the user need to my submissions edit and submit again
it would be good if manager has text area to type in -Reason for rejection

You must use Joomla ACL in order to achieve this.
In the frontemd the data can only be viewed in something like the form view in the edit view. So the manager must have the "can edit" permission.
But basically you could just set the can edit permission on field level to "denied" for the manager, so that they can open the edit form view but cannot change the data submitted by the user.
You can try to use an edit only field for the approval. Any field type (except hidden) can be made "edit only field" in the field configuration tab "advanced".
I think you should use the menu item type "Visforms with edit link" as entry point for the manager. You can set up individually which fields are displayed there, i.e. the username, if you have such a field in your form.

Hi,
i created new group and assigned global permission allowed to edit ,edit data ,edit own data
then went to visforms- form1- gave -edit data
went to form fields - tried setting - denied - but cant be saved
