Create PDF Documents with Visforms was created by SenGermany
Hi,

I would like to allow users to download a pdf showing the the data they have submitted. For this purpose I have installed Visforms 3.13.10 and Visforms Subscrription 3.4.9 and followed the documentaion www.vi-solutions.de/en/documentations/do...ions/827-pdf-creator . Unfortunately it seems that I am missing some options in the Visforsm Dashboard. How can I create a PDF template? This option is shown neither on the dashborad nor from the form in question.
I am also not available to see and download the mentioned demos in the documention. A buton "Install PDF Example" is avaliable but this failed with the error message "HTTP ERROR 500".
Thank you for your support.

Hi,

I'm sorry for your trouble.

The view, where you can create PDF Templates, can be accessed
a) from the forms list view: There should be a column "PDF" with an number (when you do not yet have any PDF templates a 0). Click on the number in order to acces the PDF's list view.
b) when you are in the form edit view in the administration, there is a submenu on the left side, with a "PDF Templates" menu item.

I have installed the PDF-Demos many times in tests and on client websites, without any problem.
Nevertheless, there is certainly the possibility, that on some systems there could be a problem with the code.
Could you please set the debug level of the website to "maximum" in order to get more information about the error?

Regards,
Aicha

Hi Aicha,

Thanks for your hints. I may have misunderstood something but I'm still struggling :)

a) from the forms list view - If you mean forms list in the administration, I don't see a column "PDF". These are the columns I see: [Title Published Access Fields Author Date Data Hits Language ID]
b) There is no submenu on the left side. I just see the title and tabs Basic,Result,....,Form Permissions

This is the error message I got with debug level set to "maximum", after clicking on "Install PDF Example":
Warning: require_once(

Hi Bassirou,

thanks for your reply.

Obviously there are some files missing on your installation. The weird thing is, that it is both, files that should have been installed with the visForms installation (/administrator/components/com_visforms/helpers/visFormsImportHelper.php) and files that should have been installed with the visForms Subscription package (/administrator/components/com_visforms/models/vispdf.php).

The visForms/Subscription installation zips do contain those files.
Copying the files from the extracted installation zip to the proper folders in your Joomla! installation is done by the Joomla! extension manager component.
Usually this just works fine.

I actually cannot tell you, what went wrong in your case.
Maybe it was just a one time thing (some problems with the server connection.....)

In order to fix the problem you could first try to "install" visForms 3.13.10 and Subscription 3. 4.9 again in the installation manager, by selection the zip files on the "Package Installation" tab once again.

Let me know if this fixes the problem completely or partially (less or other error messages)

Regards,
Aicha

Hi Aicha,

Great hint! Something was obviously wrong with the installations. After re-installation of viForms and visForsms Subscription it works now.

Thank you very much for your time and great support!
