Joomla 6 Notice

input text maxlength issue

input text maxlength issue was created by yunfan
Hi, I created a form for Chinese language user, and I find when I set maxlength for text type input, it has a problem.
I set maxlength=50
I can type only 50 Chinese characters in the input text box, it works good.
But when I submit form, I got this message:
Form submit failed
The field "MyMemo" can have no more than 50 characters.
I don't known how can I do, if there some idea?

Hi,
I'm sorry for your trouble
I will take a look into the code as soon as possible in order to figure, what I can do about that problem.
I'll report back to you, as soon as I know more.
Until then, sadly you cannot use the max length validation for text inputs.
