Character limit in form data table

 If using textarea field, in Form data table there is often to long text. So table is hard to read.
Can be set to less characters?

please excuse the late response.
We have changed our web host in the past few days and have completely relocated the backend.
Website, forum and all email addresses were affected.

An individual configuration of the data views is only possible for the data views in the frontend.
The data view in the administration is simply a list of all transmitted data.
It is true that this list can become hard to read for forms with many fields and/or for fields with a lot of data.

A parameter to shorten long texts is a useful option, but it only helps in a very specific case.
In order for a sensible configuration to be possible for all forms, a similarly individual configuration as for the front end would have to be possible.
To offer this flexibility would be very time intensive to implement and is not planned at the moment.

Hi mojweb,
I just noticed, that actually there is a fix character limit for data of fields of type textarea in the administration data view. But it is a fix value of 255 characters. This seemed a sensible lenght to us, which would allow you to get a got idea of what the message is about, without displaying very long texts.
With regards to making this length an option, which can be set individually, everything I wrote is still true.
