Problem with character in secondary field (password)

Good morning,
on the page we have a form in which there is a password field. However, there was a problem with this additional field - when the user enters the $ sign in this field, we get an incomplete password after reading it, 1 character after the $ sign and $ itself disappear.

Example: the user enters the password: abc$123, we read it as abc23.

As for the password field, this is quite a significant problem. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Regards

Hello cetpum,

I just filled out a password field in a test form that contains all field types.
- copied once with Copy&Paste.
- entered once via keyboard.

The input value was 'abc$123' each time:
vi-solutions.de/forum-uploads/form-all-field-types_pwd_form.png

The entered value is unchanged in the data table: 'abc$123':
vi-solutions.de/forum-uploads/form-all-f...pes_pwd_data-set.png

The behavior described has nothing to do with visforms.
We are also not aware of any similar issues.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you at this point who else has a finger in the pie.
In any case, Visforms is not.

Is there perhaps another plugin active that is causing these changes?

Kind regards, Ingmar

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).

Das meiste gilt rückwirkend auch für Joomla 3.
