Validation error message missing: Warning: No message defined for 'field name'

zu: aktuelle Visforms Version 5.4.0

Für die beiden Feldtypen 'Telefon' und 'Datei Upload' fehlt die Standard-Validierungsfehlermeldung.
Es erscheint anstelle dessen folgende allgemeine PHP-Warnung:
Warning: No message defined for 'field name'.

Es ist ein Bug in Visforms an und wir werden das Verhalten anpassen.
Ich habe dazu einen Issue zur Entwicklung in der Bug-Liste angelegt:

Issue [VF-1428] Contact: field type 'phone': validation error message missing: Warning: No message defined for 'field name' - additionally same problem with field type 'file'

Wenn wir den Bug-Fix releasen, wirst du explizit über das Release hier im Thema informiert.

The standard validation error message is missing for the two field types 'Phone' and 'File Upload'.
Instead, the following general PHP warning appears:
Warning: No message defined for 'field name'.

This is a bug in Visforms, and we will correct the behavior.
I have created a development issue in the bug list:

Es gibt einen Hot-Fix zur Behebung des Fehlers für:
Joomla 5 und die aktuelle Visforms Version 5.4.0.

Bitte die alten Dateien zuvor sichern, falls es unerwartet zu Problemen kommen sollte.

Die folgenden Dateien herunterladen:
- vi-solutions.de/forum-bugfixes/validation.php_5.4.0.txt
Die heruntergeladenen Dateien umbenennen in
- validation.php
Mit den heruntergeladenen und umbenannten Dateien die folgenden Dateien auf dem Server überschreiben:
- components/com_visforms/layouts/visforms/scripts/validation.php

Hello,

There is a hotfix to resolve the bug for:
Joomla 5 and the current Visforms version 5.4.0.

Please back up the old files beforehand in case unexpected problems occur.

Download the following files:
- vi-solutions.de/forum-bugfixes/validation.php_5.4.0.txt
Rename the downloaded files to
- validation.php
Overwrite the following files on the server with the downloaded and renamed files:
- components/com_visforms/layouts/visforms/scripts/validation.php

Der Fehler ist behoben ab dem folgenden Release vom 05.05.2025 für Joomla 5:

Wir verwenden für Visforms-Updates Canary-Releases.
Hierbei wird einer zunehmend großen Gruppe in Schritten die aktuelle Version zugänglich gemacht.
Es kann daher gut sein, dass ein aktuelles Release noch nicht für deinen Joomla-Update-Manager zur Verfügung steht.

Es stehen aber weiterhin alle aktuellen Updates zusätzlich bereits auf unserer Webseite als Download zur Verfügung.
Damit kannst du jederzeit manuell auf die aktuellste Version updaten, auch wenn du offiziell noch nicht an der Reihe sein solltest.

We use canary releases for Visforms updates. This allows the latest version to be made available to an increasingly large group of users in stages. It's therefore quite possible that a current release isn't yet available for your Joomla update manager.

However, all current updates are still available for download on our website. This allows you to manually update to the latest version at any time, even if it's not officially your turn yet.
