Hello.
I use this plugin quite actively as a Community Manager for Application Forums. (Sometimes it's for people to apply to be a forum moderator or an Admin etc..) I was wondering if it was possible to add comments to them on the front end so that Admin can obviously view them on a hidden webpage and discuss the application.

Thank you for your time,
Mike.

Hi Mike,

sorry that explanation is to short. Are you talking about visForms? I don't really understand how you use it. Do you mean that you want to add comments in the data view in frontend that is "editing" the data view in frontend?

Maybe there is somewhere to look at, where I can get a better idea of what you want.

Regards,
Aicha

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.

Hello Aicha,
Yes I mean on Visforms on the data view. Here is a screen shot with a very bad drawing of what I mean:

As badly done as it is, I hope it helps :)

Hi Mike,

thanks for the drawing which was very helpful. Now I understand.

I think that is quite a nice idea and it is doable but it is a bit of work.

As I mention in an other post I have to consider what I can achieve and afford to do and what I can't (simply because the day has only 24 hours and I have to make a living too).

After updating visForms to Joomla! 3, which is my next goal, and some other work (for example updating my own website to a more recent Joomla! Version :) ..) I would consider to develop such a feature. I'll let you know.

Kind Regards,
Aicha

Hi Aicha.
Thanks again for your reply.
I understand on time restraints.

Perhaps a nice idea would be premium or optional features that could be purchased either as a premium package or individual upgrades as plugins. That way it can add more revenue and people who want it just as a simple form could do so for the free price and those who would like it to be a little more have that option.
Just an idea.

Thanks,
Mike.
