Contacts Won't Export as CSV or XLS

I have just tried to export the list of contacts but get errors when trying to open the file with Excel.
...the file format and extensions do not match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe.
I open it anyway and then get...
...cannot open record 12
then
...cannot convert some of the cells. The total number of errors is 1.

I have eleven records in the file, so there appears to be an issue with it not knowing when to stop looking for more records.

Any ideas on how to get this working?
Is it going to be possible to use the same record tables as a contact table for viewing in the contacts area of Joomla?

could you send my the csv file to my contact mail (see below forum)?

Please have a look at the form option "Use Windows-1250 Character set" (tab advanced). Try to set it to no. You have to import the csv-file manually into your calculation programm (Excel or whatsoever) then.

Hi snowrat,

you can create a menu link (menu type visforms data), that will show the contacts in frontend. You can decide for every field individually whether or not to show it in frontend (default is that it will be shown). It's a field option (tab advanced).

The Excel form is completely blank even after turning off the character set setting.
I will send you a login for the test site where I am working on this so you can see what is happening.
I am also getting empty DIVs in the code for the class visCustomText (and others) as if they are missing <?php endif; ?> statements.
I would try to fix but fear that the changes would be lost on any future updates.

I just updated the Joomla and now have some issues setting up new users. I'll need to address this before I can enable a login for you.
