Created forms are not displayed was created by LeFunk
My website runs Joomla 3.3.1 on server with PHP 5.5.2, Mysql 5.0.11

After I installed Visiforms and tried to create a form:
New->(filling in title, name, save result=yes) and selected "Save and close", the system says: "Item successfully saved."
But then no forms are displayed.

When I turn error reporting on, it says on top of the empty forms list:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /myserver/../html/administrator/components/com_visforms/views/visforms/tmpl/default.php on line 99

also phpmyadmin shows that new tables have been created in the database:
one table visifields and visiforms, visiforms_1, visiforms_2, etc

Still no forms are displayed anywhere. What could be the solution?

He LeFunk,

never heard of such a problem before and no immediate idea how to fix it. Maybe I could take a look at your backend to start with.

My contact email is displayed below the forum.

Aicha

Have the same problem here.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home3/team/public_html/purity/administrator/components/com_visforms/views/visforms/tmpl/default.php on line 98

The insert of a new form works fine and I can see it in myphpadmin.
However when trying to view it again "read" of the form from the DB is failing.

I tried this with the latest version as well as the Beta version with same result. Seems like a problem with some DB configuration settings etc.

I have the latest T3 Joomla framwork and have no problems with many added extensions.

I'd love to purchase the Pro version but not until I can resolve this issue.

Tom

Hi tom,

I'm sorry, but obviously my provider just has a little problem and my website is loading extremly slowly. I've already contacted them.

Do you think, I could take a look at your backend, because I was not able to reproduce the problem.
Maybe that would give me a clue.

My mail is contact@vi-solutions.de

Aicha

Hi Tom,

The waring you get, when you turn the debug on shows, the database query, which tries to get the form record sets from the database, get an empty object in return ( 0 recordsets found), so I think there is a problem with that database query.

You could do the following.
Turn the "debug system" on again and set the error reporting (tab server) to developer.
Then return to the visforms form list in administration again.
You will see now a Joomla! Debug Console at the bottom of the page. There a section about database queries.
It's a longer list, but just find the two queries that select from the visfields and the visforms table. I think you can copy the queries and check them in phpMyAdmin (in the tab where you can enter sql). I think you will get no records in return and you can now try to find out, which part of the sql statement is responsible for that (by deleting the wheres and likes and what so ever is in the statement, until you get your forms in return). Please let me know, what you find out.

Regards,
Aicha
