Frontend edit and own form deletion was created by GESign
Dear Aicha,

I have a question: I would like to give a chance to Customers to delete their own forms.
Could You make a button in frontend in "Edit Data in Frontend" plugin, please.

Best regards, GESign

Hi,

to implement this properly would be a lot of work (it is not just a button :) ), especially if you are in the forntend where you must deal even more carefully with security risks.

I don't know whether I like the idea of deleting record sets in the frontend at all.
Sorry and best regards,
Aicha

Dear Aicha,

Thank You for your answer. For me a hide button would be enough by the record creator. We searched for an easy CV upload extension. We found some but those were too complicated and were not able to handle frontend publish to everyone just to registered people. It would be nice if creator could hide his/her datas.

So unpublish would better for You, please. Best regards, GESign

Hi,

if submitting the form is restricted to logged in users you can try the following settings. I think they will do what you want.

First go to the form configuration in the administration and there to the tab "Form Permissions"
Set Permission for the user group the logged on user is in (most probably "Registered") as follows
"Edit Data State" -> "Allowed"
"Edit on Data" -> "Allowed"
All other permission settings for this group stay untouched. (Most probably set to "forbidden")
Save your changes.

Open the configuration of the menu item that displays the frontend data edit view. Switch to the tab "Form Data Display Options" there and set the Option "Editable Record Sets Only" there to "Yes".
Save your changes.

In the frontend data edit view a logged on user of user group "Registered" will than be able to see all their own submissions regardless of whether they are published or not and they can publish/unpublish their record set.

Regards,
Aicha
