Form Data Display not working

you forgot to enable the display data in frontend on field level. (Field configuration, tab "advanced").

I must be blind because I can't find that anywhere. Is that on the form advanced tab?

FIELD configuration
You have to set for each field individually, that the data submitted for this field, are visible in the front end.

Got it. I have never set that before, the default must have changed at some point to:
Display Data In Frontend: (Don't Show)

I am including my notes here in case anyone else has this problem:
not only do you create the menu item you also have to be sure to set:
Your Form/ Result to save results,
Your Form/ Dataview in Frontend set to Allow...
Your Form/ each field must be set individually. Click on Advanced tab in the individual field then under Usage change "Display Data in Frontend to "list and details"

the default was changed years ago, because with the original default settings there could be an unintentional discloser of user data.

Your Form/ Data view in Frontend set Autopublish Data to Yes
