Problem with calendar and ReCaptcha

Hi George,

I found time to look into your database yesterday evening.
Actually the database looks quite good.

First of all. The error message "Incorrect version sequence. Cannot upgrade 2.1.1 to 2.1.1." just says that you have already installed the version 2.1.1 and cannot install it once again.
This is not critical at all, when you have not received other error messages before.

Second. You mentioned in the forum post, that the position of a field in the form is not copied properly when you copy the form.
So that a field, which you inserted later on in a form and which you moved up in the position, is set at the end of the copied form.
This is correct. This happens because the batch copy process copies field after field according to the field id and not the field order. Maybe I have to adjust that.

Third. I imported the forms and fields into my Joomla! 2.5 test installation.
I tested the following with different form of both languages.
I created a menu item that displays the form and checked on the form in frontend.
Actually all fields are working fine except the field "Number of Children".
When I checked on that field "Number of children" in backend I noticed, that there are no options defined for the select.
So there is no surprise in it, that this field is not working.
It's the same for all forms I checked (four or five in total).
I noticed further on, that you did not define the items for selects properly in all other select fields.
An item of the select which is displayed in the select as an option, consists of a label and a value (you have to fill these parameters for each item, i.e. you have to type "Double Room" in the label parameter and the value parameter in the "Select Fields Options" part of the field edit view). You could choose to make the value shorter and just call it "double". In the parameter field "select list" you would see than "Double Room || double" and not only "Double Room ||".

Fourth. I created a module of type visforms and used it to display the form inside an article. Works exactly as with the menu.

You wrote, that on your website the captcha refresh does and things link the calendar are not working. These things are build and controled by Javascript and at the moment I think that your major problem is a Javascript incompatibility on your website (caused by the template or incompatible third party extension). Is it possible for me to take a look at the frontend?

Regards,
Aicha

 I recommend you the new and up-to-date documentation for Joomla 4:

Most of this also applies retrospectively to Joomla 3.
Please only ask 1 question per topic :-).

Das meiste gilt rückwirkend auch für Joomla 3.

Hi Aicha
first of all I don't understand how you can find out about these problems when you test everything on a clear joomla installation. The database tables I sent you are after uprating from version 1.1 to the latest, so I guess many things could be changed.
I uprate to the latest version on a demo installation which is exactly the same with my real site us it is now on the same server. (I got backup and made the installation just before the upgrading)
Now about ''I noticed further on, that you did not define the items for selects properly in all other select fields'', I don't understand what you mean. I just sent you 2 screenshots, one from back-end and one from front-end. You will see that on the form 45 / field 714 / type select, in the list box list are the values one|| two|| three|| four || five and you will see what I get in the front-end.

Kind Regards
George
